I'm a off again on again type of baseball fan and right now I am in the on again mode. I get the game for the most part but the one thing I always here that I never understood was the walk off home run. Exactly what is it and how does it differ from a regular home run?

A walk off is a home run by the home team to win the game - after the home run the game is over, and you get to "walk off" with the win.
e.g. tie score, bottom of the ninth. The leadoff batter hits a home run to win the game.
