Hey, go see the new Jim Carrey movie, Bruce Almighty. It takes place in Buffalo and there are some parts that mention the Sabres. That's all I'm going to give though.

There was a part where they showed a player, I couldn't really tell who it was though, kind of looked like James Patrick or Curtis Brown but maybe some extra.

It was definitely an extra.

I just saw it tonight, and the movie was very funny. Much mention of the Sabres.

Once more of you see it, I'll talk about it more.

Is it suitable for early teen/pre-teen kids? My whole family wants to see it.

^ One, maybe two F-bombs, and a little sexual inuendo along with one scene where Jenifer Aniston screams in a orgasmic tone after Bruce uses his powers on her, but most of the film is just good comedy and the second half has a lot of moral meaning to it as well.

I hope that helps a bit.

I saw it! I saw it!! *jumps around*

I loved it.. I saw it at the Silvercity near my house and was cheering at all the Sabre references.. haha.. I went with a whole bunch of people.. mostly Leaf fans and it was a good time..

I loved all the Sabre stuff in the movie.. like the jersey that hung in the office.. the Sabre hat Jim had.. etc... that was great.. HSBC looked awesome too.. the Stanley Cup that we won.. Although I wanted to see more of the celebration.. it does suck that the whole anthem bit was cut out.. I was looking forward to seeing it..

Awww well.. I also liked the part where Jim was like.. "Oh the Sabres will win.. the Coach prays a lot".. that cracked me up because I pictured Lindy Ruff praying.. haha..

Anyways I liked the movie.. it was cute.. Buffalo looked awesome!! I loved the part with the monkey.. haha.. and the part where Jim played the trumpet with his fingers.. lol..

It was cute...... I had hoped to see a couple of our boys like Biron IN the movie.. but no.. oh well.. who cares.. it still focused on our guys and that was great to see.. I was happy it was a movie in Buffalo.. they did a good job..

I loved it as well! It was so cool to see Buffalo all over that movie. And I didn't even realize that the Sabres were going to be mentioned so often in it!! I cheered at all of those parts too, BironsGirl! Except where Murphy says "Well, the Sabres lossed AGAIN tonight...." But that made the announcement of the Cup Victory for Buffalo even better...And the entire City riots!

It was great to have Buffalo be the place of location in a huge movie like that. We got some well deserved recognition.

Yeah at that part where they showed the clip.. you could see Max.. hahaha I booed too.. I didn't like that part.. my friend Justin always teases me about the Sabres and at that part.. he turned over and laughed at me.. uhh.. but I had the last laugh though.. so it's all good ;)

Yeah, cool movie. I saw it today here in Maryland and 5 matinees were sold out. I was lucky to get tickets. The Buffalo angle made it for me but I was expecting a part where Jim Caray was wearing a Sabres jersey. I never saw it so I was a bit disappointed but overall I thought Buffalo was mentioned way more than I thought it would be.
