have plastic surgery or surgery to better your appearance if someone else was going to pay for it? Please answer honestly.

There's a new show on ABC called Extreme Make-Over and the transformations are incredible! You have to submit a tape and tell them why you want/need an extreme make-over. Then, if you get picked you can have anything and everything you need done and they'll pick up the tab. People have liposuction, nose jobs, laser eye surgery, teeth whitening/straightening, you name it, they have it. They fly you out to California and set you up with doctors and dentists. After your surgery is done, you go see a personal trainer and then go for hair, nails and a new outfit. You're away for seven weeks and when you come back, you're completely transformed.

How many of you would do something like that if given the opportunity?

They are talking "extreme" though. Those people start with some features that are really considered unattractive. They have a lot of work done, don't they? I don't fault them for taking advantage of the situation.

Personally, I'm wouldn't let anyone cut me open or anything in order for me to look better. 'Cause I'm a wimp. I saw a news story on one of those news magazine shows about breast enlargement. Made me sick. I color my hair and I've had my teeth bleached. Those are no biggies, IMHO. And I'd go for skin treatments even laser skin treatments if someone would pay for it. Just keep the knife away.

Why would I take the chance to ruin perfection?

And anyway, I am sure I am exactly the way someone else's god wanted me to be.

Bogus, some of the people do go for extreme make-overs, but others just have some minor things done.

I'd do it. I can see a million things wrong with me that I'd change. My problem would be, after all is said and done, I'd probably still find things wrong with me. And then where does it end?

The one thing I'd never do is breat enlargement. I don't like knives and cutting either, but I'd still do it. They can take out whatever they want, I just don't want them to put anything foreign in me. Fake boobs scare me. It's not natural to have a foreign thing in your body. And, I'm not sure I'd ever have a face lift. The whole idea of pulling my face doesn't excite me either. Lasers are one thing, but I don't want someone cutting my face.

Never.. I voted for.... No, never. I'm happy exactly the way I am.

Of course there are things I don't like about myself and there are things I like.. but I would never go as far to have surgery to get it done.. NO WAY..

One of my friends had surgery last summer.. (not for cosmetic reasons) and it was brutal.. just being around someone after any procedure is weird.. they are usually in a lot of pain and it's not a good thing to go through..

I never want to go to the hospital.. I used to work there (candy striping) I found it too depressing and I stopped going..

You should have seen the news story I saw. It was horrible. The women were in so much pain. Then one of them got really sick and died.

Don't do it...you shouldn't change how you look a bit. You're definitely your own worst critic in this area.

I hate hospitals as well. I don't even like to visit them....so I kinda showed a girl how much I liked her by visiting her for a couple of hours once a long time ago. She was in for about a week and her boyfriend maybe was there for about an hour added up the entire time she was in. He didn't like me much...the guy was a creep who didn't appreciate her and it was obvious I was fond of her. I kept waiting for them to break up but when they did, she started dating her 3rd cousin.

But I can understand why some people would want it. I have a couple of female cousins who've had nose jobs. And I'm not talking about a little off the end; these girls had some big noses on them. It truely made them more physically attractive and a lot more self confident.
My motto for this situation though is: Exercise - the poor man's plastic surgery.

Even if I did want plastic surgery, no way in heck I would get it done, too may risks. One slip and you could be scarred for life. The same goes for lasik eye surgery, who wants to risk being blind.
