Catch any of tonight's RAW on Spike TV?
Happen to see Jugement Day on PPV?
Notice something good about the last couple of Monday Night RAW's?
The trend here is Stone Cold humor. With his wrestling career possibly over due to recurring neck injury, Stone Cold Steve Austin has succesfully re-invented his character as a badass GM on RAW, who mixes up-front action taking with some beer drinking, fun loving, joke cracking promos which, in my mind, has made him the best draw in the WWE today. His angles have the fans back into the action, his actions are popular and, at least so far, have made some decent sense. I love this new direction with Steve and his character, especially on RAW, where the roster in place is good enough already, but with Stone Cold as the catalyst, a solid show like the one tonight is more possible.
Stone Cold may never wrestle again, although many predict a Goldberg/Stone Cold match at XX next year, but whatever the future is or isn't for the Bionic Redneck in the ring, he seems to have found the staying power so important to being a long term success in this industry.
My hat is off to Stone Cold and the WWE... back on the right track perhaps....
Oh hell yeah!
