Chris Thorburn

Hey I know some of you know your s*#t, does anyone know anything about this kid. I had seen him play in Erie and he looks like he could make it to the show some day. I know the Sabres must sign him by June but does anyone have any kind of info. on him?

I think Thorburn compares in many respects to Paul Gaustad. Although, Thorburn is a little less agressive, but a little more skilled offensively.

At 6'3" 218 lbs. he brings size to the center position that the Sabres need. And he's been a kid that has gone from being the #1 guy on a bad team to a guy that fit in well and was the top point producer in the OHL playoffs for a more talented squad. I like the fact that he contributed no matter what situation he was in.

I'm hoping the Sabres sign him in the next week or so, but we shall see.

The Sabres signed both Derek Roy and Chris Thorburn yesterday.
