Heh...I just wanted to be the first to post a thread. :D
I've always liked the White Sox, but my fave player when I was really into it was Big Frank and he's been slumping for a few seasons. I'm hoping he breaks out again this year; I miss the Big Hurt knocking one out every other game. I think Magglio Ordonez is a superstar in the making.
What team do you guys like, and who's your fave player?

I know it's unpopular but I'm a Yankee fan.
Until retirement my favorite player was Paul O'Neill. My favorite all-time is Mike Schmidt.
Now I just like the jersey, I don't worry about the players as much.

Its great that baseball season is back, even if it is snowing out as I type this. I am a big Blue Jays fan, with Joe Carter being my favorite all-time player, but seeing he is retired, my favorite player is Eric Hinske. Now if the Jays would quit changing their logo I would be happy.

D-Backs and Yankees!
The 2001 series was a dream come true for me, since I was at Game 1 and at Game 7. Never seen anything like it before and I hope to do it again soon.

I hate Clemons and Wells, but thats just cause I am a Jays fan, and still bitter about Clemons leaving.

Cleveland Indians: since before they were Buffalo's parent club. A couple years before the Olin/Crews tragedy.
Bartolo Colon: I saw his no-hitter 6/14/97 along with 21,000 other fans, but now I'm torn...

My favorite team is the Boston Red Sox.
Favorite player is Pedro Martinez. It used to be Roger Clemens, until he signed with Toronto. Now, with him on the Yankees, I wish nothing but ill-will for the scum-bag. Clemens Sucks. I have a t-shirt that says so. :D
I also have a favorite team for the NL... the Atlanta Braves... mainly because they used to play in Boston way back... my grandfathers have told me stories, them being a part of the "Knot-hole Gang" and such...

I like the Giants, and Orioles.
But i have my fingers crossed for the Portland Expos!!!
I don't really have a favorite player, but i appreciate the unusal talent of Barry Bonds whose biggest crime is not being nice enough to sports reporters

Im a Red Sox fan. My favorite player is probibly Nomar. Man, I love to see Nomar make a diving catch, or hit a home run against the Yankees. That doesnt really mean anything because I love to see ANYONE do that to the Yankees.

So tell me Wolffman, if you could choose between the RedSox winning a title or the Yanks losing a title, which would make you happier?

Wow this is a no brainer, Red Sox winning a title. I've already seen the Yankees lose a title, i've never seen the Red Sox win one, not many people alive today have. But the Yanks losing a title is o so sweet.

Braves...Love the Braves even when I lived in WNY, the loveable losers and all.
Since moved down South I get to take roadtrips and see at least 2 series per year.
Favorite player: Also soo easy, Maddux, loved him when he was a Cub too, and got to see him in Chicago as a Cub, and a half dozen times live as a Brave.
Least Favorite: D. Strawberry. I never had a problem with him, until he came down to Jackson to do some rehab work one year, at the time, we had the AAA affiliate of the Mets. A TON of little kids were trying t get him to shake hands and sign autographs and he was just too busy, said he did not have the time for this kind of stuff.
chuckle, I shouted at him to get the hell back to NY, and that he was one of the reasons we (as NY'ers), have a bad rap about all being @ssh@les. I still laugh at that.
