I did a cycling tour around the Island about 8 years ago.

We didn't do much as far as nightlife etc if thats what you want but the place was damn nice.

I have never been there but my chums go every year to play hockey and they say,you will not find a better place to go.The people are great and the night life can be wild .If that is what you want and the place is beautiful.Go for it.

Has something changed? Does Ireland now have nice weather? Must be global warming.

Compared to Newfoundland, Ireland is Bermuda.

In all seriousness, go during the summer. It is a unique place. Duff, you'll feel more Canadian after you've been their. Really.

It's about 24 beers from Fredericton so a day I guess. I took a bus trip from UNB and I don't really remember the drive (about a day?). I drive to Fredericton NB in about 16 hours.

Since you are a moderator, you can read this reply...

Toronto to New Brunswick, 1 day.

NB to the ferry another day.

Take the ferry to Argentia, and start out on the east coast of the rock. Drive across the province from east to west, and stop off at Gros Morne Ntl park. The only fjords in North America.

That sounds about right, the fjords are amazing. It takes a full day and a bit, to drive across. But gimli's right, going east to west is better. Stop at Gander.
