I'm really looking for a backup RB as early as the 2nd round. Living right next to Lexington I'm kind of hoping that Buffalo grabs Artose Pinner in the 4th or 5th round. He's 5-11 and around 220... not really fast though, probably runs around a 4.5 forty. Another guy that we would probably have to grab higher would be Musa Smith from UGA. He's 6-1 221 and runs around a 4.5 as well. He could also fall to us in the 2nd round. It's really difficult deciding who we could look for because I'm not sure what TD is looking for. A small 3rd down back or another bruiser like Henry. I guess time will tell... oh... Another awesome back who I'd really love for us to pick up is Justin Fargas... 6-1 220 and runs a 4.3 forty... He made Iowa's defense look like Jr. Highers playing out there. Outside of his durability I think he's an awesome prospect.

PS: Willis McGahee, but only if he's taken in the 3rd round or lower

If they sign Gary I don't think they'll take a rb in the draft.

Onterio Smith - 2nd or 3rd
would be a nice change of pace/different style runner to Henry

Pinner looks like someone photocopied Travis Henry - They are built the same way

Pinner will be the steal of the draft. but don't think he's going to be there in the 4th, so if we need him we better take him in the 3rd. This guys runs over what ever is in his way. we might also what to keep an eye on his teammate Abney, after the draft that is, this guy is a great return man.

I don't see us taking a RB in the 1st 2 rounds. They will be a backup for many years unless Henry gets hurt. However, I could see us drafting a RB in the middle rounds who can also return kickoffs. They're names are escaping me, but I am thinking about the 2 RB's from LSU that are also good at returning kicks. I am all for drafting the best available player, but drafting a RB in the 1st 2 rounds with a 3rd year Pro Bowl player at the position already does not do it for me.

Mcgahee is best talent in draft .. Id love get him in the 2nd.. May not be 100 % right away, but would payoff big time later.. I see us bringin in a vet after cuts are made

I doubt that McGahee will be available when we pick in the second round but he would be worth the risk if he is. I wouldn't mind seeing someone like Santonio Beard or Kerry Carter in the later rounds for depth. If someone like Nick Maddox can return kicks that would be OK too.

You can always find a sleeper running back in the later rounds of the draft. I think Nick Maddox is a steal, in the 7th round or as a undrafted FA because he can return kicks and is a wr/rb, which would make him a solid third down back.

With Morris and Burns on the roster, we already have two power-type backs. Simonton and Parker are shifty-type backs. That makes 5 RBs, so if we draft one, it will be on day 2.

I think (honest, I can) that Burns is a journeyman backup, and Morris is an okay backup- but not someone to build your offense around. We need a 2nd high-quality back behind Travis. I see us going after a RB in the late 1st (after a trade-down) or early second round. Thing about it this way- where would we be if Travis Henry trips over his dog in the middle of the night and falls down the stairs? Got to have another option besides or even behind Morris. Imagine Larry Johnson and Henry in the same backfield. Bring back the T-formation!
