could this be a year where the Bills draft a kicker??? i've only been following drafts about a decade or so. I can't even recall the Bills having ever spent a draft pick on a kicker. With Hollis wanting more money and there not being too many stellar kickers in FA right now... what do you think... could this be the year???

Sometimes I think it is easier to pick up a veteran kicker off of FA. Kickers are usually picked in the 5th rd or later, and they often take a while to adjust to the pro game

I agree with BuffaloRanger. If Hollis ins't signed look for TD to sign a veteran kicker via free agency. Drafting a kicker early in the draft may require a salary close to what Hollis wants anyway. Drafting a kicker later in the draft is too risky...especially if you are planning to be in playoff contention. Besides, there aren't really any kickers of note which are worthy of drafting.

You need a vertern kicker to kick in buffalo. I don't know any rookies that can come in and kick in such condiations, such as buffalo.

Why would you draft a kicker when most of them will be available after the draft? It's not like there is going to be a run on kickers. It's cheaper too.

The Bills have never drafted a kicker... I don't see that changing in 2003...
I don't think there are any kickers out there worth a draft pick... Maybe an undrafted free agent, but I think the Bills will get a vet.

You guys never cease to amaze me.
We HAD a rookie kicker that kicked 75% in buffalo last year. Graham.
This argument is getting old. No one is happy with our kicker no matter what. I feel sorry for whichever kicker we get.

drafting a kicker is NOT true. In 1983, I believe, the Bills drafted Gary Anderson out of the University of Pittsburgh. Unbelievably, he is still kicking in this league. I suppose that would have solved our kicking woes all these years, heh???

Actually there is another Grammatica and I heard Martin saying that he has more power in his leg than him and Bill.
But I think he's still in college.
