If the Bills somehow pull off spikes and sam adams and trade price to atlanta, do we now draft a wr with the 23rd pick in the first round. Maybe we can somehow package the 23rd along with one of our young DT's and Larry centers and like a third that we get from atlanta to move up in the draft and get Andre Johnson from miami?

if we pick 23rd i'd take mike doss from ohio st. if he's there. we've had good luck with buckeye defensive backs so far, why stop now. But i certainly would not be unhappy with johnson as i think he would be a great fit as well.

why is everyone so high on moving up, it takes too much to move up in the draft.. i say stay at 23 and let TD work his magic if he can get a starter with all his second round picks ( except denney) then i am sure he can get a good player at 23 and we dont have to lose anything

Ya know there used to be a time in football that rookies rarely started their first year. All Denny needs is a little more time to develope. I know this ain't the good old days, but if we can give this guy just a couple of seasons he might pan out to be something good. I'd rather take a chance on him than the one given Lief Larson.

johnson would be great. But I think he is a top 10 pick.

A free agent WR like Conway, ROBINSON, or Ismail would be better. DL or CB with the 23rd, unless surprise player still available. Would still like to see Bills talk to Sammy Knight.

All in due time.

I watched a number of Miami games this year and was pretty unimpressed by Johnson. He seemed to run a lot of slopy routes and droped some pretty catchable balls. Winslow Jr. was Miami's "go to" guy when they needed to move the ball.

I was stunned when the prognosticators pegged Johnson as a top 10 pick. Whether he's an athletic marvel or not, I don't think he's going to be in the same class as Peerless in 2003. If we're going to move up and pay a first year player big bucks, I'd rather keep Price.

Buffalo13- I couldnt agree more. Although I think we go DT w/ a 1st rd pick (if we get one***), I think Doss would be huge...

Sure tackler, hard hitter, bawl hawk, great run stopper, leader, team 1st guy, amazing special teams player - only ?mark is coverage skills. but this is a gregg williams type player.

MIKE DOSS! tOSU!!!

Chris Kelsay, Willie Pile both had good combines and good seasons. We might want to remember these names.

I have the combine numbers.

Kelsay - 6'4" 273, 23 reps, 36.5 vertical, 10.1 Broad, Described as a Relentless pass rusher. # 16 on Kiper's board. Might be available at 23. Bob Stoop's described him as "Scary"

Willie Pile FS Va Tech - 6 -2 206, 4.5 40, 38 vertical, 10.5 broad, 20 yd 4.04, 60 11.12, cone 6.75

A sleeper that I like is:

Rashean Maths FS Bethune Cookman

6'0" 202, 4.43 40, 22 reps, 38.5 vert, 10.5 broad, 4.15 20, 11.08 60, 7.08 Cone.

I am trying to find some Defensive stats but I can't seem to locate any. Plus I am at work.

If Atlanta could trade up from their spot to get Andre Johnson, they'd do it and forget about Price. Few teams in the top 10 would want to drop to #23. It's the dilemma they have and why they want Price.

If we trade Price, it has to be because Reed is good enough to be the #2 WR. We could then take a WR in the 2nd round or later to be a backup.

From that article:

Dean Cain (Former Bill, Former Superman, Former tagger of Brooke Shields) had 12 picks for Princeton! I didn't know that.
