What: 7-round Mock Draft

Where: A Thread entitled Official BBI Mock Draft Thread..... you
may only post in it if it is your turn to draft. I will type in a reply after each pick (Your pick has been preocessed, it is now ****'s turn to pick, you have 15 minutes...)

Why: For fun & a way to kill some time on a cold weekend.

When: March 8th and 9th (if needed) starting at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time, and ending (on the 8th) at 8 p.m. Eastern Time (if it lasts that long...).

How: Submit your pick when it is your turn. Maximum of 15 minutes between picks, otherwise I WILL ASSIGN YOUR TEAM IT'S PICK! If you will not be present for the draft or parts of the draft, please inform me ahead of time at MouldsRocks@cs.com. Make sure you study/know the team that picks before you, and after you, as you may be asked to take over for them if they cannot make it for certain rounds/picks (e.g. **** is going out to dinner & will miss last 2 rounds, can you take over for him?.... etc).

A good way to know what players are avalible we should have a post with all the potential 1st rounders 2nd rounders 3rd rounders ect.

We can do that individually, unless you want to be in charge of making it and updating it during the draft....

One thing you might want to do is break each pick into a 15 minute timeslot... That way, each person drafting knows what time each one of their picks are due and can prepare to pick at that specific time. For example:

1. Bengals pick by 10:15 AM
2. Lions pick by 10:30 AM
3. Texans pick by 10:45 AM
4: Cardinals pick by 11:00 AM

and so on...

That way, each person participating will know exactly what time they need to have their picks in. For the people that pick later in the draft (like me picking 24th), it might take 4 hours to get to me, or it could take 20 minutes. Timing it the way I suggested would at least let people know what time they needed to be around, if they have things going on during the day. Just a suggestion.

I think it'll be difficult to enforce the time. I have no way of knowing if teams are picking in five minutes or fifteen, and there's no way I can stay online all day just to watch it. Others probably have similar issues. Might want to be a little flexible, and possibly e-mail other managers when it's their turn to pick.

Since it turns out I'm going to be gone all day Saturday, (work related) can I email you with my choices so you can make them for me, Mouldy. I would include a half dozen or so choices for each selection in order of preference so hopefully one of them will be available. Maybe I could PM whoever picks before me, and that person could make my choices. That would take the burden off your shoulders, Mouldy. If this won't work, maybe someone could take my spot (Titans). BTW, with 15 minutes allowed per selection, this could take a while, up to eight hours per round. Maybe I could PM whoever picks before me, and that person could make my choices.

I see your points on teh time thing, but if we give a time for each pick, it will take a long time.... but you can't be at the computer forever!

.....Maybe we can change the time limit to 5 minutes? And then I'll make a list of the times? Then it will be an 18.7 hour draft....(one day, 10-7) otherwise I can split it into 2 days at 10 min per pick (about 37 hours)

Wow--that's a long day !

We could get this whole thing done in a few hours if everyone would be here at the same time. (about 1 min or less per pick = done in about 3-4 hours)

We could even start the mock earlier (like 8-9) and finish by lunch-time. Each player wouls also get about 30 min of break tim between picks. That is how I was thinking originally, but since not everybody has been communicating with me, I figured it'd be tough to do that. But it wouldn't be much harder than everybody going showing up for their picks w/ 5 min. time slots!

If we make it one minute per pick, I'll do this whole thing over again for you guys. You won't have to be here all day (+), but every 25 min. you will want/need to show up (-/+?).... the upside is that we can finish this thing before noon(+++)!
