Two MTV shows start next week...the first is FRATERNITY LIFE (http://www.mtv.com/onair/fraternity_life/season1/#) and the other is SORORITY LIFE 2 (http://www.mtv.com/onair/sorority_life/season2/).

I only mention this because both shows involved University of Buffalo frats/sorority houses...which might be interesting to those of us that live here, if for no other reason then to see how Buffalo is depicted. The show was taped last fall in and around the school and city.

Anyway, the shows start next Wednesday (2/26/03) @ 9:30pm when they'll introduce the members and then they’ll show the first episodes of both shows after that (one at 10:00pm then the other at 10:30pm).

Just FYI :D

Sounds like that second show could be rather interesting. :D

two of my friends are on the show...they said MTV ran their lives for 3 months and they got no compensation...they had to listen to MTV approved music, only watch MTV approved TV and movies, only eat MTV approved and sponsered food, fill out a daily schedule, subject to veto by MTV, and sleep with all the lights in the house on at all times. anyway it should be itneresting

They should come out with an x -rated version of the sorority one.

They were taping at the Anchor bar when I was there. They made me sign a waver to use my image because I was in the background. So look for the guy with tie-dye on in the background and wing sause all over his face.

I can't wait for both of them. It would be so hot if like the hottest girl from the sorority show sleeps in like a cutoff Bills jersey. That ould be my perfect girl.

From what I can tell, the fraternity life segments basically boil down to drinking, drinking, more drinking, hooking up, drinking, boasting about hooking up, drinking, drinking games, drinking…repeat.

The sorority life shows amount to drinking, drinking, more drinking, hooking up, drinking, equivocating about having hooked up, more drinking, fighting for bathroom time, drinking…repeat. Oh…there are the occasional in classroom shots interspersed, used mostly as filler.

Calm down boys. If you watched any episodes of the original Sorority series, your expectations would be lower than the Bengals next season.

Seriously, I don't think there's ever been a better idea for a show that somehow managed to suck so much. It was the equivalent of the director of "What Women Want" coming up with a great idea for entertainment, and somehow managing to butcher it to death. Hopefully they don't have more nasty cows in this sorority.

I think there will be more cows in this Sorority series. MTV picked the unexciting sorority on the UB campus.

The night before the Bears game, MTV was in Buffalo taping the clubs. When my brother, friend and myself found out we were in their faces, walking around rudely and giving them a hard time on purpose. MuchMusic will kick MTV's arse anyday of the year.

Man...when did the freshman 15 turn into the freshman 50?
Eeeek...I hope most of the sorority sisters on this show are
from out of town....
