If you guys want to see a true warrior in action tune into the leafs/sens tonight to see the return of Gary Roberts! This guy carried the leafs on his back last year.

As much as I hate the Laefs, I'll admit Roberts is a true warrior. I just finished watching the sabres beat the Rangers... again... and flipped over to the Leafs/Sens on Center Ice. That's where I haerd the he scored the game winner late in the third to down the NHL's best team. He's one of the few Toronto players that doesn't take cheap shots and that I can actually respect.

By the way bduff, Toronto fans should be screaming for Quinn's head anyway. They will never be champions with him as their coach. Not to mention he encourages dirty tactics.

Quinn is a good coach but poor GM. Roberts played very well yesterday! Go leafs Go!

he's a true warrior. The fact that he came back from his severe back injury a few years back to achieve the level he is at now is a testament to his hard work

I think it's the water in Whitby both him and Joe Nieuwendyk are both tough as nails who play with a lot of class.

What does Roberts have to do with the Sabres???? Shouldn't this be in the red line? Anyway Roberts is a cheap shot artist who always hits guys from behind.

You're right sfoote, this is red line material. But I must make one last comment.... Roberts is the only guy on the Leafs that doesn't take cheap shots.

As mods here we will allow a little bit of leafs talk here (because of all the Canadians) and then we'll move it to red-line

fair enough player, seeing as this site is directed towards the buffalo area i think a bit of leaf talk is ok. We ahve members from st. catherines and hamilton too who enjoy the leafs.

Roberts ALWAYS hits guys from behind or with an elbow and if someone on another team just bumps into he has a big hissy fit and starts to moan and cry.

By TML standards, this would make a pretty clean player! ;)

I can't agree with your statement, though sfoote. He's done that :cryin: on occasion, but who hasn't? I think Roberts is a pretty stand-up guy. Why does he have to be on the Laffs? I hate when players I like got to teams I hate!

I know Gary Roberts was a very good player in Calgary, now he just hts guys from behind and gets his elbows up, seems to me he can't play anymore so he just plays dirty. Do you ever see him deliver an open-ice check? No! He just sees somebody along the boards, comes flying in with elbows up. Hell, the refs could call a charging penalty on him everytime.

are you kidding me buddy? Did you watch his first game back? He was laying out senators all night and not one penalty was called or deserved. "Can't play anymore". Check the stats and get back to me on that one, did you even watch last years playoffs? Check who was one of the playoff scoring leaders. Your making me laugh over here with your ignorance and lack of hockey knowledge.
