To a partnership with Maislin and Bassin, WNSA is reporting.

Good, as much as I would Rather have Hamister then Golisano, I really don't want Maislin and Bassin here too.

I am liking the Golisano bid more and more. His group is the only one that hasn't run it's mouth without anything to back it up. The Bassin/Maislin group shows up in town, talks of a bid and nothing happens. Hamister makes his big push without being forthright about his need for public funds. Golisano appears to be approaching this as a business opportunity and we know he actually has the money to back up his talk.

I'm sorry, but Golisano and his boys Pigeon, Quinn, and company have done more running of their mouthes than anyone.

And they've spun things to a rediculous manner.

Until he puts forth a bid that is accepted by all parties, Golisano remains a suspect on my part. There has been way too much political gamesmanship on Golisano's part for me to truly believe that he's serious about doing what's best for the Sabres and their fans.

It might happen, but so far he's done more to put the Sabres staying in Buffalo at risk than he's done to keep them here.

What ever happened to Frank DuRoss, he held a press conference every two minutes before? I figured he would want back in either on his own or with Bassin.

He has ties to Steve Donner (they are both owners of the Rochester Rhinos and Rattlers), so if Donner is part of the Golisano camp, then DuRoss may be as well.

But Frank is also very busy trying to get the new soccer stadium in Rochester built right now. He may not have the time or the energy to chase the Sabres.

I personally don't trust any of these "buyers" of the Sabres.

I think that's a logical reaction. You think to yourself "Who in their right mind would want to buy a money losing team with the goal of keeping it in Buffalo?" It makes you pretty skeptical of anyone who enters the process.
