Vancouver Jersey Question

I was wondering if anyone knew how long the Canucks wore the "stick" jerseys and if they had just the number or name and number on the back? A friend of mine just bought the jersey and wants to get lettered and is not sure if it is just the number or the name. Thanks.

The color green stands for the mountains, and the blue is water, both notable features of the city of Vancouver.

Not only is that logo a stick and a rink, but it's a large, fat "C".
