Oilers or Habs, the only reason the Makebeleafs get all the attention is because the league offices are in the same buildings as the Maple Leaf offices. While Bettman and Campbell bend over for the Leafs, the rest of Canadian hockey suffers. Great cities like Edmonton, Calgary, Vancuver, Winnepeg and Quebec City struggle to maintain, losing their teams in some cases.

Oh yeah, when was the last time the Makebeleafs won a cup? 1968?

canadiens are the best dynasty, The reason the leafs get attention is because they have 12 cups it has absolutely nothing to do with the league offices. you stole that from sports illustrated i read the article a few days ago!

Why was Montreal so great?

Could it have been the suplemental French Canadian draft? For those that don't know the Canadiens got first crack at all quebec born players. I don't know when it ended but it really was unfair.

I don't ever look at Sports Illustrated, duff. I read ESPN the Magazine.

And I don't need a mag article to know where the NHL is located at.
