Hello all Great White Northerners and fellow BBIers...
Something I've had in mind for a few years...Do you think up to this point that Wayne has been GOOD for hockey. Obviously great in the beginning, but his was the start of BIG contracts. A million a year and we applauded it. Now 5 million or more for less than franchise players crippling organizations and thier cities.
Then he plays for LA, and brings the game to mainstream America. Hockey in So. Cal? How about Texas and Florida?? Expansion and delution not far away...
Finally, the native Canadian is part owner of a hockey club. The Oilers? No. Jets? No. Canadians, Leafs, Nordiques...no, no no.
The freagin' Phoenix Cyotes. PHOENIX??? Well, dollars ARE worth more down here...
