^Up in canuckland the great parlimentary government decided a little more than two years ago that guns were bad. To that end, the unilateral registration of guns in Canada was made law. The system put in place to order the registration and ensure that all firearms are catalogued by the Canadian government was and is woefully undersupported. Civilian opposition has slowed the wave of support needed to fund such an expensive system, and many law abiding Canadians simply won't register. The system, too is flawed in that only legally purchased guns are to be registered, so if I go to the mean streets of Hamilton and purchase a Beretta out of a car I'm not legally bound to register it, although my previous action was a felony.

What a great system! I wish we had one in the states to go with the great ballistics marking system that some politicians want to throw money at.
