When was the first time you saw the Sabres play and where was it at?

I'll start, at the Aud, I looked up and saw those funny looking tubes hanging down from the cieling and wondered, what the hell are those, and then I wondered if any of them ever fell before. lol

I dont remember who the Sabres played but it was when Korab, Schonny, Martin, Robert and Perrault all played. Wow, we had seats on the glass in the corner, right next to where the photograpger was with his camera and the hole cut in the glass.

I remember the first time King Kong Korab checked this defenseman into the glass, I thought it sounded like thunder! BOOM! Then the glass shook and the crowd went nuts, I was hooked ever since that check!

I still have my Korab Jersey from way back when too. Every now and then I bring it out and look at it and remember the good ol times...

I was young, my first gaem was also in teh Aud. I watched a tie game with San Jose and we sat in teh first row right behind teh penalty box and the San Jose player didn't want to give me his broken hockey stick. :( lol

The first time i ever saw the Sabres play..... I was on the phone with my friend my dad was watching a Sabres playoff game and I saw #44 (didn't know who he was at the timeLOL)....

Zhitnik....... did this thing i call " A flying back check" this guy came at him full force and Zhitnik ducked and the guy flew right over his back and landed stright on the ice...... head first. I thought the guy died!!~ (LMAO)

I said holy sh*T! Call 911~~~

My dad was laughing his A$$ off....... the game was still in action as that guy was still laying on the ice..... he slowly got up and i said ..... "Rn't they gonna see if he's "alive"??? (LOL)
I said who did that dad? He said #44. I said who is he "Zhitnik".
I was a fan ever since. I hung up on my friend to watch the rest of the game. I hated hockey always thought it was boring untill i saw that!!!I couldn't believe it!!!
I don't know who they were playing but the Sabres won :)
My first time at a game in person was against the philly flyers they won 3-2. I sat next to locker room...... I met them all and Satan signed my jersey that i bought that game. He grabbed my hand and gave me this sexy smile,signed... and i was hooked!!!!!! Go SAbres!!!

My first game was a pre-season game against Hartford(at The Aud), my Dad got a couple tickets from a friend so we went to check'em out.
Both teams played like crap and there was a couple good fights.. Rob Ray beat the snot out of some no-name. Sabres lost 3-1. That's all I can remember, but it was a great time.
