View Full Version : What should we do with the Goaltenders?

I have said before that I think Ryan Miller should be our starter now so he can gain experience in a "meaningless" season so that in the future he will be ready to step up and be our main guy.

In the long-run, I think Miller is the real deal and should be our future. Once he learns that the sabres are behind him, I feel he'll be more confident and comfortable and will play at an even higher level. This kid has loads of talent an he will be a fantastic player.

Biron as backup........ Mika....... who knows....... he already lost his first game for the Amerks :mad: 4-1.

Anyone who thinks Miller should be the starter right now.. IS CRAZY!!! There's no way.. don't put that much pressure on the guy so soon.. he's really young and he's a freakin' rookie for crying out loud.. he'll get his chance.. he isn't ready mentally to be a starter.. sure he can start some games and what not but don't destroy a good thing.. he still needs time in the AHL.. but I don't believe that he is ready to be the starter at this point.. in the future perhaps.. but not now.. no way!

I voted for Miller,so this is my answer-right now,you stay with the hot goalie and that is Miller. If he starts playing bad or needs a break,rotate with Biron. Send Mika to Rochester.

At the end of the day, they have three young, talented goaltenders. They all need game time to get better as well as gain confidence. They don't get that from sitting in the press box. Something has to be done to ensure they are all playing on a regular basis.

Some people look at this situation as a problem. Any team in the league would love to have theese three guys in thier organization.

Miller starts, Lindy uses Marty in back to back situations. Yeah right, Lindy learns how to use two goalies? I must still tipsy from the Eagle's afterparty last night in Toronto. :D

I would worry if the guy was an 18 or 19 year old kid we were throwing in there. He is 22 years old. I feel better about his psyche than a Blackburn or Dipietro.
