What are your New Year's Resolutions?

To step back and work at my comfort level and have fun, rather than struggle on with things I am not happy doing, and things that I am not doing well.

I'm going to try and bury the hatchet with estranged family and friends. I'm also going to try to stop getting upset over things I can't control. I need to learn how to relax and enjoy life.

Now honestly, how many people actually keep their resolutions? Or at least make an honest attempt to keep them? And, how many are realistic? I think if you can keep at least three on your list, you're in good shape. :)

I am. I'm starting early with my resolution of getting drunk every day. :beerme: This is a lot easier than all my other resolutions. ;)

I made a New Years resolution last year to lose a little weight. I lost 30 lbs. over the summer. I have no idea what to do this year. Maybe I'll start smoking.

You seem to be having problems at home. Are you living with an internet junky?

No it isn't. I checked it, I don't know why it won't take any messages.

Thanks, Bogus. Hopefully I won't need any reminders. I hope to be drunk 24/7. ;)

I just thought of another New Year's resolution....I want to live my life in such a way that one day it becomes a Lifetime made for TV true story movie. :)

I love Lifetime. :) That's what I did last night. I watched three made-for-TV true story movies on Lifetime. One day I hope to see my life on TV. lol

Unsolved Mysteries is a good show. They should do a segment why Buffalo teams can't win a damn title.

I shudder in anticipation. I'll forward some pages of BBI to the script writers.

Hey d! Good for you! Other than that, how were your holidays?
Valerie

Congratulations and good luck, D1220. :) Are you on the patch or any prescribed stop smoking medication or are you just quitting on your own....cold turkey? I don't know how hard it is to quit since I've never smoked, but I wish you all the luck. And it will be worth it. If you're not married and/or dating, a lot of girls won't date smokers, so you'll increase your chances in finding someone. And, if you are married and/or dating, think of all the extra money you'll have now that you won't be spending it on cigarettes. :) Buy one of those things you squeeze in your hand when you get frustrated and try chewing gum. Best of luck to you.! :)

She's never quit smoking or even smoked but she's full of ideas :D
I hear that if you get a craving you should substitute it with another craving, i.e. sex. There's a tip.

Thanks Bogus. Holidays were good...uneventful. Took the week of Christmas off, relaxed, spent a lot of time vegging. Saw my brother and his family....came up for the holidays. Got to see the niece and nephews....very fun since I don't have any of my own....or a wife for that matter.lol How was yours?

Thank you for the positive thoughts on quitting! I am doing it cold turkey. I quit for almost a year at one point in the same manner, I just need to keep it up this time. Dating is another reason I quit....it does lessen the 'dating pool', I do date quite a bit (actively looking for Mrs. Right), and have noticed most do not smoke. Also, I had a choice, due to the cost of cigarettes......do I sell my boat or do I continue to smoke at a cost of $200 a month....easy choice.lol I bought 5 bags of Jolly Rancher candies, that worked the last time..... Again, thanks for the good feedback! It helps to hear it.

I like that idea better than my Jolly Rancher candy one! Now to find someone that can satisfy the craving 20 times a day. lol Heck, I'll take once.

Quitting smoking is a breeze. Just replace smoking with masterbating!
My new years resolution is to stop being so damn awesome.
