Moss fines $1,200; marijuana charge dismissed

-- Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Randy Moss pleaded guilty Thursday to two minor traffic charges related to a traffic altercation in September.

Two other traffic counts and a marijuana charge were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.


Moss, who did not appear in court, was ordered to pay $1,200 in fines and sentenced to 30 days in jail by Hennepin County District Judge Mark Wernick. Moss was given two days' credit for time already served, and the rest of his sentence will be stayed as long as Moss doesn't commit any similar driving offenses, the judge said. Moss was also ordered to perform 40 hours of community service.

I dont know why they charge anyone for marijuana, that is the most harmful drug ever. they shoud charge people for drinking, if they are really concerned on the "harmful effects" of a substance. why do they even test for weed?? its beyond me i guess.

they are making Moss look worse than he is, its pitiful. BUT at least that bogus weed charge was dropped.

Oh yeah, weed is harmless. Sure it is. Being stoned has never effected anyone's driving skills and no one has ever committed vehicular manslaughter while on weed.

BTW, if you do something this stupid, you will take the drug test and have the book thrown at you as you don't catch touchdown passes.
