NEW YORK (Reuters) - The Godfather saga lives on.

Several dozen would-be Mario Puzos tossed their fedoras into the ring to pen a sequel to the writer's Mafia classic "The Godfather," publisher Random House said on Monday.

Random House said it will review the submissions for a follow-up to Puzo's 1969 saga about an organized crime family, the Corleones, which it proposes to call "The Godfather Returns." The original novel sold more than 21 million copies and inspired a trilogy of movies.
