The leafs are playing horribly, I'm sorry to say it but the Eagle may be done. He just can't make those saves you don't expect him to make out there. He looks slow and his reflexes are gone. I think a shakeup is in order.

Sorry duff, I don't think the leaves will be any better than third in the Northeast, I don't see them making it to the postseason with the heavy competition in the east this year. Eddie can't carry them the way CuJo did.

Only a fool makes guarantees on things outside of his control.
Don't say I didn't warn you back in preseason.

2 words Duff:
Byron Dafoe

Byron Dafoe is RIGHT. Who else is there? Unless they make a trade with someone. But Dafoe is just sitting on his hands waiting for a phone call from Quinn. With Belfore playing the way he is, they won't just ride him out the rest of the season.

dafoe is not an option, simple as that. no way they throw another 6 million to a goalie, i think the answer will have to be one of the young guys at st. johns. my choice would be to pry Hackett away from montreal, i know that won't happen though.

Boy there doen't seem to be such a glut of goalies in the league all of a sudden. I can't see Toronto signing Dafoe, he's terrible, I always though so. So who does that leave? Hackett? I'm looking down the list and it's pretty short.
It certainly makes Bflo look like a team in position to move a goaltender, but who? I think Biron would look about the same with that Toronto D in front of him.

Dafoe would be a gread addition to the Maple Leaves. I mean, he is basically in his prime age for a goaltender, hes coming off 2 years in which he was one of the top goaltenders in teh league, he is a great leader, and gets along with anyone.
Now look at Belfour. Hes old, his reflexes are shot, hes a drunk haggard, no one gets along with him, hes coming off two insanely mediocre seasons, and the only way to go for him seems to be down.
Sure Dafoe is expensive, but sometimes you take the hit for the greater good of the team.

Toronto needs a goalie that can perform in the Playoffs, and that excludes Dafoe right at the start.

Biron isnt going anywhere. Toronto may be able to get a hold of Mika or maybe Ryan Miller (if they wanted to wait for him), but Biron is not leaving Buffalo.
And if he does, thats the second i take off my Sabres jersey for good.

no way the sabres trade biron and no way the leafs sigh dafoe, milneko?? why do you say nobody gets along with him?? Belfour has been great in the dressign room thus far.

Last time I looked, Cujo was 4-4-2 with a 2.77 GAA and about a 0.88 s%. Not great with the defending champs. He's a fraud.
Hackett? Not available with the way the $5.5 MM man is playing.
And you all laughed at me when I said I would wait another year or 2 to lavish that kind of money on the "francophile phenom". I still think Theodore is a one shot wonder.
Biron? The Laffs don't have anything the Sabres want.
Dafoe? Not worth the $$. Shields is putting up similar #'s behind a weaker Bruins team.
Roloson might be available. Irbe. Billington. Schwab. Snow or Osgood. Maybe Dunham.
Ooooh boy. Pickins are slim.

I dont understand you sometimes Bduff. You say hes great, but I thought you didnt like him??Anyway, like BG43 said,if hes great its because he probably offers them free beer so they will all play nice! LOL! I agree with Dafoe being an option or what about Hackett?

pucker, just cause he is playing poorly i have to lie and say he is a bad influence???? Wow that makes sense. He ahs been solid in the dressign room and i never said i didn't like him. I said he may be too old!
