I know the topic will be moved, but I just thought I'd post it where we all would see it. The Anaheim Angels are the World Champions of Baseball. Not the Yankees, nor the Metrodome nor Barry Bonds or the will of the sports world could keep this team from it's goal. They are a testiment to the word "team." The Anaheim Angels, 2002 World Series Champions. Congratulations to all of the Angels, it's been a long 42 year wait.

This post can relate to any sport. It was a team effort they had all year and they suprised everyone. Just like the Patriots last season. I wonder what team will be next?

Even though I puke at the sight of baseball it is nice to see a team win it besides the Yankees. How about John Travolta celebrating in the stands, I'm sure he has been a season ticket holder for years. Typical band wagon celebrity.

Fox' coverage was like a network infomercial. Every inning we had to sit through yet another shot of the stars of a Fox series in the stands. It was almost enough to ruin another great series.

It was inspirational to watch a TEAM act like one and WIN the World Series. (The team over the individual)
The Angels made baseball watchable for the entire post-season and put personality back into the game.
I also agree that Fox exploited it for all it was worth but Fox did good by placing Buck and McCarver in the booth. They did a good job of not speaking out excessively and letting the game be the center of attention - even though the Malcolm in the Middle type shots were annoying.

WOOHOOOO
WE ARE GOIN NUTS HERE IN SO-CAL!
we lost the Raiders, we lost the Rams, the Dodgers traded Piazza for some stupid reason, the Kings cant get thru the playoffs, the Mighty ducks are mighty bad, the Clippers used to be the laughing stock of the NBA, and well, the Lakers finally brought back the NBA title these last couple years. oh wait, i heard the L.A. Galaxy won the Major League Kickball title, but who cares?
Anyway, this one's for ORANGE COUNTY, whos football team skipped town and whos hockey team blows, and whos baseball team hasnt had a great year since the heartbreaking loss in the ALCS in the 80s to the sorry ass Red Sox.
what a geat season, to go from a 4-14 start to slipping into the wild card spot, and tearing apart the Spankees and shutting down the Twins to finally win the ALCS, and then off to beat the Giants team in 7 games, in which the Giants were too busy focusing on their little Day Care Dugout duties. i was so disgusted with that whole thing. big boy commissioner better do something about that crap.
imagine that happening on the sidelines in NFL games? it jsut doesnt belong on the playing field for any sport.
So heavy props and congrats to a hardworking Angel TEAM and their bandwagon fans (i been an Angel fan since i was wittle).
Travis Henry needs 15,400 yards to beat the record. Go Travis.
OUT...
