Do you think he just said it to please the audience? He wouldn't do that, would he?

The Big Dog always knew how to work an audience. Toronto has a huge Jewish community and a Jewish mayor. I'm sure after he said that they were carrying him around on their shoulders while singing "Haveh Negelah"! LOL!

The rest of what he said seemed pretty reasonable though.

Most did, I just think its funny when a politician (of either party) just talks out their butt for the sake of doing it. He probably just got caught up in the moment and got carried away.

You’re right on Shiva……And that’s why he went 2 terms and was a popular president. He could charm the pants off of Mother Teresa. The guy knows how to work a crowd.

Just to let you know, Patrick, I'm probably just as tough as Mother Teresa and I can 100% guarantee you that Bill Clinton couldn't charm me out of a burning building! I'd rather burn to death than deal with him. :)

Originally posted by Doug45 Mother Treasa was a pretty wise lady, my wife got to meet her about 30 years ago in the Philippines, and to this day she talks about what a nice person she was.
I believe the Catholic Church is in the process of making her a Saint, Doug.

This is all a ploy to get the Jewish vote when Billary runs for the White House in 2004 or 2008.

Obviously Clinton is a good politician but he may be more sincere more often than people give him credit for. Are you sure he didn't just mean that Vietnam was an all around bad idea but that the Isrealis are justified in defending themselves? Or am I giving him too much benefit of the doubt? He definitely loves the love he gets from a crowd.

To much benifit of the doubt IMO.

I say tape of parts of his his appearance late last night (my son couldn't sleep) and he just seemed to "get into the moment"
