Lets see.

Floyd is a Marlin, a team given to Jeff Lauria by MLB.

Floyd traded to Montreal for prospects, a team owned directly by MLB.

Floyd traded to Boston for peanuts, a team given to John Henry by MLB. Boston didn't have the prospects to get Floyd from Florida but Montreal acts as a middle-man to get a player to Boston, the chief rival of the Yank. The Yanks are the team Bud Selig is painting as the evil empire who must be stopped and now Selig is trying to help.

It just doesn't smell right.

that is kind of weird. I think the Marlins after trading Dempster and Floyd basically told the team that we don't care about winning (only contraction).

Talk about a great deal.

MLB buys the Expos from Lauria for about $150 million (a team he claims is losing money like crazy), he then buys the Marlins (another cash strapped team) for about $125 million. He cuts payroll to the bare minimum and if they get contracted will get a $250 million contraction buyout. All with the help of the commish's office.

Does he have photos of Selig with a sheep of something?
