England 257/4 , stumps first day. Good solid start of the first test vs. India at Lord's

Nasser Hussain scored a commanding unbeaten century to lead England into a dominant position in the first Test against India at Lord's.

Hussain hammered 20 fours in a 262-ball 120 and shared in a 145-run fourth wicket stand with John Crawley to rescue England from a shaky start.

1st Test, Lord's, day five: England 487 & 301-6 beat India 221 & 397 by 170 runs

Ajit Agarkar's enterprising unbeaten century was not enough to prevent India from sliding to a 170-run defeat in the first Test against England at Lord's.

Excellent news.
