The USA are putting up a hell of a fight but it may not be enough to beat ZE germans! England lost 2-1 and the goalie David Seaman has alot to answer for he let a goal in on a floating free kick which never should have happened!

It was 0-0 when I left for work. I guess I missed all the scoring. You turn your back and next thing you know it’s a 1-0 blowout.

I know what you mean BF1. After the goal was scored they should have just stopped the game out of mercy because for 2 goals to be scored in a game is just ridiculous.

Wow! USA actually can play soccer. Even though they lost by the dreaded score of 1 - nil, I found it very entertaining (not being much of a soccer buff). In my book it proves scoring is secondary, entertainment wise, to drama, athleticism, aggresiveness, and no commercials. Great

Heck of a game, the US earned some respect from even the germans I think. I'm proud of our team! :D Tough game, couldn't find the net but had a lot of chances. Hopefully we can build off this cup.

and quit so we never have to play in this tournament again.

The Germans were really unimpressive today...US took the play to them and were a few inches away from tying the game...got breaks earlier in the tourney none today...they evened out two bad that doesnt happen in the NFL...the bills would get 3 years of calls going there way

Yoo hoo the luck finally ran out. About freakin time. I am so glad to see them gone. SoCalFan, I think you should officially change your name to Jack Edwards. Earned some respect......gimme a break. They were outplayed. They may have got a few chances. It looked close because the Germans were content to sit back hold on.

GO BRAZIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Huh? Ok, just to clarify, I don't give a rat's behind whether others respect them or not. I just think they got lucky and their luck ultimately ran out.

ok, well in any case, you said they didnt earn any respect, i will respectfully disagree :)

Now that we have got that out of the way, who do you like to win it all? And if you saw the England-Brazil game do you think Ronaldinho was intending to pass or did he mean to lob it over Seaman.

Spain is also playing pretty good. But I think everyone who can hang with Brazil lost in the first round. This cup didn't have anything to do with luck. We came out and beat Portugal we scored early and often. Against S. Korea we were outshot but we still managed to tie. Poland we played horribly and the score showed it. We then outplayed Mexico and got the win. And today we had our chances to beat Germany. You could see it in the German Keepers face (Kahn). He was scared and glad for the game to be over.

I don't know what Seaman was thinking being that far out. I think it was a pass.

Brazil will take advantage of the chances that we didn't.

Brazil 3 - Germany 1 in the final.

it was definitely a poorly executed cross and the guy got lucky. there is no way that was a shot. Seaman is getting grilled in the english papers as we speak. i want senegal to take it, it would be great for such a small country to win it!

what a bunch of horse..stuff
:)

Did you guys hear that the italian TV station that bought the broadcast rights to the World Cup in Italy was considering suing FIFA to reclaim some of its costs? They said that bad refereeing cost Italy the game - that it was a conspiracy against them - and they want to get some money back.

Can you believe that?

Italy is crazy...... The Korean player who scored the goal to eliminate them. Plays for an Italian league team. The team is now going to cut him, saying he is not welcome in their city.
