The 2 favorites are out of the world cup! Argentian and France have both been eliminated! The England game was one of the most boring games i have ever seen and now regret staying up all night to watch it, do you agree reeves?

Beyond Soccer, Argentina was in increadible difficulties. The world cup was hoped to bring something positive back to the country, and now that too has become a dissappointment.
Prior to the tourney, 76% of Argentines polled thought that Argintina would WIN the world cup.
Here's a link with the impact of the teams failure on the country:

Although I was very high about this team, nobody died, we'll have to wait four years.
As a football fan I really hate but as an argentinian I'm kind of happy, because if we'd have go further in the World Cup, that would have cover a lot of the problems we have down here. But well, now I have to wait till the other football season start. Go Bills

That is historically true, but not this team, this was one of the less conflicted team I saw in years.
I guess we ran out of fuel entering the tournament, add to that some injuries and little of bad luck and we're out.
I think we should have won last night, but the ball didn't want to meet the net. Football is umpredictable.
I'll give credit where credit is due and I'll congrat Ireland for making it to the next rounds, but you're no scoring machine either, and the only strong team you faced was Germany, Cameroon isn't what they used to be and Saudi Arabia was the worst team on the World Cup.
We in the other hand, thanks to FIFA that orchestates everything in favor of Brazil (as if they need any help), had the most competitive group of the Cup.
But for us is in the past. Good luck to you and the green boys.
And reeves god save the queen and the England team.

thanks figurita. yor totally right if ireland was in your group i'm pretty sure thye wouldn't make it out of the first round. its too bad Argentian couldn't get the job done but atleaset it leaves the tournament more wide open with France and argenitan gone!

And Italy will have a hard time winning over Mexico, while not great, Mexico has an experienced and strong team. So maybe you'll have an easier way.
BTW me and my friends made a poll, and I picked Germany and Ireland to qualify on your group, I alsp picked Portugal and USA but all went to hell when I picked Argentina and England in our group. :sadwalk:

I hope that Argentina is able to get out of its current economic difficulties and that things go well for you. I will be cheering for Argentina and England come the rugby world cup next year! You are in the same pool as Australia, which could be a problem, but you should be able to dispatch the rest of the competition in the group. Go Pumas!!!
In football we landed a tough group, but in rugby we got screwed up, Australia is a pipe dream for us, but maybe it will be that game you win out of 20, Ireland is 50/50 depends who's best that day, and over the other team the Pumas are favs.
What teams are in England group?
