I can't believe Italy lost this game. 2 dissalowed goals!! This is no controversial, ummm....it was close, type dissalowed goals, but dissalowed goals that left the announcers and reports asking what the *@$% where the refs thinking. I'll tell you what it was the ref that STOLE the goals was some english punk that decided he was going to beat Italy. This was the worst officiating I have ever scene in a World Cup match.

I feel like it was the immaculate deception and wide right all in the same game. (relating it to bills terms)

To top it off on the second dissalowed goal the ref wouldn't even say what the call was!!

I guess thats one thing football and soccer have in common...CRAPPY REFS!!

calbillsfan, the fist goal was clearly not off-side but the second goal with only seconds remaining was a foul. if you look at the replay closely inzaghi is clearly pulling the shirt of the croatian preventing from getting the ball! Totti had a great free-kick, Croatia played well and deserved atleast a point, italy got too complacent!

Having a couple days to sleep on it. I realize that loss might be the best thing that has happened to Italy. They need to beat Mexico to qualify. If Italy wins then no matter what the result is in the other game they qualify.

Now why do i say the loss is the best thing to happen to them? Easy, Italy was way to confident going into the game against Croatia. Saying things like they fear no one. Well, now, Italy is mad and will play for pride and to prove that the Croatia game was a fluke.

I just read an article. In italian that said that the linesman saw the offsides play again after the game and is very sorry for the mistake he made. Of course this means nothing after the game because whats done is done.

Italy was robbed in that so called off-side, although I'm not a big fan of Italy, I must say that they should have tied the game instead of losing it. There must be a Luckett fever amongs the refs.
Beware of Mexico, is a strong team.
