Arizona Republic reports Coyotes are believed interested in picking up a second line winger. Appears they will go with a trade versus the free agent route. Would the Sabres be a good trading partner with Phoenix?

Depends if their GM is stupid enough to view Afinogenov as a 2nd line winger.

Max loves golfing, the desert, and Wayne loves him.Now if I could talk them into sending us Shane Doan I'd be a genius.

In Phoenix he would be a first line winger.

hmm I wouldnt mind getting Carcillo in the deal that would make us a very nasty team very quickly.

Maybe Wayne doesnt want to put up with him ( Im just hoping as i highly doubt they move him).

I doubt Spack is going anywhere. He playd well last season and should perform better offensivly knowing Rivet has his back.

Well Anaheim just signed Morrison so no they are way over the cap. They will be looking for a trade but more like a salary dump so I doubt it will be with the Sabres. Phoenix would be a nice partner but every time speculation becomes public, it is almost for certain not to happen.

Who do the Ducks have that are on the market?

The Ducks will probably try to trade Schneider. He's 39 and makes $5.750 M this year. I read somewhere that their other option would be Beauchemin, but he only makes $1.65M, so trading him won't help them too much cap-wise.

They haven't resigned Drew Miller yet, who is an RFA.

What is strange is that they only have 8 players signed beyond next season.

I'd run down to HSBC and give Darcy a kiss on the ass if he was able to acquire Beauchemin. He would transform our D from one of the pussiest to one of the meaniest in the league. At only 1.65, he is a steal.

I highly doubt they would move him though..

Not gonna happen, with Bernier gone, the Sabres will likely want an actual roster player for compensation, not a draft pick. I wouldn't mind getting Rienpricht back for Afinagenov, Phoenix has too many centers, Buffalo would be able to dump 1.5 and Rienpricht is also a UFA at the end of the season, so there is no gamble. I would line them up like this:
Vanek/Roy/Stafford
Paillie/Hecht/Pominville
MacArthur/Connolly/Kotalik
Mair/Rienpricht/Gaustad

Probably not gonna happen, but you never know, besides I liked Rienpricht the first time Regier traded for him.
