Not the real animals, the attendees.

Read this sick story:

Here goes my most politically incorrect statement in my bulletin board career. Well not statement, rather rhetorical question...

Why do problems like this always happen on "welfare nights?" You know "free admission" for "inner city youths."

I think it's because welfare breads irresponsibility.

I gotta admit...THIS would have been funny as hell to watch: Visitors pulled down branches on which the birds were perched and then let go, catapulting the birds into the air.

I almost wet myself reading that one. Woo hoo! 40 Yards! Going for 45!

And I tend to think these two are related:

Parents dangling small children over the railings outside the bear and lion and tiger exhibits, despite clearly posted danger warnings.

and repeated attempts to feed animals despite many signs saying feeding is prohibited.

Yeah, I'm kidding too. The bird thing made me laugh, but had I been there, I probably would have been pissed.

Maybe they were trying to catapult the birds into the lion cage....Mmmmmm...delivery.

No, Reeves, I wasn't too impressed with that picture. lol And, I was surprised to see that you posted it. That'd be something I would expect from Northern or AWM, but not you. :( I didn't know what that animal was the lion was eating either. :( And although I don't like seeing stuff like that, at least that's natural for the lion to catch and eat the warthog. lol

WOW!!! You actually took that picture yourself, Reeves? That's incredible! My dream vacation is to go on an African safari. Oh that would be my heaven on earth to watch those beautiful animals in their natural habitat. Oh, I'm sooooo jealous that you were able to do that. lol When did you go? How long were you there? Was it worth every penny? I know they're expensive.

And I'm very impressed that you choose to shoot your animals with a camera and not a gun. :) Good for you!!! :)

I love you guys, I just don't love your idea of fun. I think animals should be shot with cameras not guns. lol :D

Reeves, that is so cool!!! I can only imagine how incredible it was over there. I'm sure I'd see things that I wouldn't particularly like but I'm sure the good stuff would out number the bad. :) You're right though, I get a little upset when I see a dead animal here. lol You are a very lucky man to have been able to experience Africa the way you did. What brought you over there for so long, if I may ask?
