wow, this can only mean Brian burke is coming.
they are good friends and why would the leafs hire a coach with no gm in place?
how can this not be tampering if burke comes aboard?

I have no problems with that hire for the leafs, they need stability he can bring that.
I still would have gone with a guy who hasnt had a chance like we did with Ruff and Nolan.
I would have waited and hired Paul MacLean Detroit's assistant.

Wilson was a product of a great team in San Jose, in Washington he could never seal the deal, and was a product of Olie the Goalie!

Buffalo Bisons Center Larry Wilson, (1956-1968) Number 9
(For a long time with Number 8 Dick Gamble on the left, and Number 10 Eddie Kachur on the right) In the 50's, and for many years, the Bisons had no uniform numbers above 20.
In the six-team-NHL days, some players stayed in the AHL for 10, 15, 20 years, (and earned about $5,000 a season)

Well, if he somehow gets the Leafs into the playoffs, you won't have to worry about them doing anything when they get there...:D

He's a decent coach, but I hear his problem is how he treats the players. He can be a real jack@ss. He loses the players over his behavior. That said, he's an improvement over the sappy Maurice, for sure.
