Why tape delay? Its a friggin championship game for the NLL and the game should be viewed like any other championship game as it happens.

The game is being aired tape delayed because ESPN had specific conditions they required in order to show the game live, and the league, for once stood its ground. ESPN was insisting on a 6:30 start, which would have been fine, except they also wanted "running time" to ensure that the game did not go over a 2 hour time slot. The running time thing was the deal breaker because that would have meant no clock stoppages during time outs, penalty sorting or anything.
They've used the running time thing during the all star games to get those on tv, and it works ok for that type of game, but in my opinion would completely ruin a championship game. Kudos to the league for not giving in!

Props,too,to JJ and the NLL.
They apparently have gotten the message that ESPN tards EVERY sport it touches.
Which is exactly why I never want the NHL to ever blight Bristol again.
