Does anyone have an approximate count of how many seasons they have sold this year? I know its not a good measurement, but judging from different Bills messageboards it seems a ton of first-timers are getting seasons, I don't know if its because of the whole Toronto thing or just the new players we acquired this season but everybody has caught the fever.

They are pulling the right strings, that's for sure. Whether or not it shows on the W-L or not, they are doing well to make it look like they're heading in the right direction.

Billsman's gonna have some new company at the bus this year, methinks!

Congrats. Hopefully you guys can keep the season tix numbers up and I will attend my usual 2-3 games a year to help support the cause. Whatever we can do to make Buffalo an attractive place to stay for the one day new owner.

Yeah I'm pretty damn excited!

I shoulda done this years ago. All the money I've spent on bars, Sunday Ticket and attending just one game a year could have easily bought seasons. Like this year, I wanted to go see at least the season opener and the Browns game, but who knows how much those tickets would have cost me? I spent $100 for a ticket to last year's opener on StubHub - and Rockpile season tickets for this year were only 240. No contest.

So yeah, I finally smartened up, and now me and some other hearty souls will be driving back home from Brooklyn to watch our Bills live at the Ralph, the way they should be seen. I can almost taste that first 7 AM beer. Is it September yet?

Article about it in the News today:

http://www.buffalonews.com/home/story/340667.html

The Buffalo Bills haven’t been in the playoffs since 1999. And many Bills fans fear the franchise has one foot out the door — possibly moving to Toronto — once owner Ralph C. Wilson Jr. passes from the scene.

But those twin developments haven’t seemed to hurt the Bills at the turnstiles.

With four months left until the Sept. 7 home opener against Seattle, the Bills already have surpassed last year’s season-ticket total of 48,236.

The current total already is around 49,000.

Bills officials say the numbers are tracking toward breaking the 50,000 mark, which would be the highest total since 1993, the last of the four straight Super Bowl glory years.

“Our goal is 50,000, but we think we could go beyond that,” said David Wheat, senior vice president of business operations.

Are Bills fans sending a message to the National Football League?

“I think the message is the same message that’s it’s been all along, that we have some of the most loyal fans in the league,” said Scott Berchtold, vice president of communications.

Bills officials are well aware of the region’s fears about losing the team, especially after all the fanfare about moving eight games to Toronto in the next five years.

“At first, we heard some concerns from a few fans, but we haven’t seen it in ticket sales, hits on our Web site or corporate interest,” Berchtold said.

EDIT: My bad, just saw that JLB posted this up on the main board.
