ummm, not so sure about that.

Core group are all home grown, richards, carter, umberger, coburn (trade).

sure they got Briere for big cash, but thats the only one i can think.

There is a salary cap, spend to it if you want to get players.

Its not all about the money they made good trades, play hard, coached much better, Biron is playing very well, and they play with an edge which is awesome to see.

I think they will lose to the Pens but they have worked their asses off to get the the ECF and i give them credit and they did not buy it.

Its a great thing for those who want to complain about Sabre management. But outside of that if they lose they have done nothing spectacular IMHO.

Just remember every bling squirrel finds a nut once in a while! No cup = nothing but what we went through as fans.

What did Briere have last year, about 95 points? That would be a "190 point signing". The Flyers edged us out of the playoffs by a few points, and are now in the ECF, while we are playing golf.
So yes, it's a great example of a "big club trouncing the little club".

Well...Briere was redeeming his awful regular season with a pretty good playoffs, until he disappeared in the ECF again.
I wonder who the Flyers will buy this summer?
