maybe fine was picked to play fb (lessening the chance schmitt gets picked). if that's the case, kellen davis can still be taken...

JDB will be the Vikes starter before the year is out

I think that Fine is the FB/H-back for us... Davis may be picked with our next pick. But, we do need a C and some depth at OL

Seems like Denver could get any RB to be successful...
Carolina just took Gary Barnridge, TE... Maybe there's something about Davis we don't know, and that's why nobody's biting?

What are the differences between Schouman and Fine they both seem like similar players from what I read about Schouman last year and Fine this year.

There must be something about Davis that we do not know about

i think chris ellis will be really good. i liked him or crable (pats) to turn into quick pass rushing d ends...ellis is already bigger -- i think he'll pan out, making day 2 better than we're giving the front office credit for.

I am interested in possibly getting Pressley from DT NC State... he is a nice DT with upside.. would be great in a rotation.

Bears take a CB too... Zack Bowman
4 teams in front of us...

Looks like the Bills really liked Fine, hence the reason he went earlier than projected:
http://buffalobills.com/blog/index.jsp?post_id=3384
"I knew that they were interested because I had an interview with the tight ends interview and then a sit down interview in their suite and knew they were interested," said Fine. "I knew they needed a tight end and wanted me to come in and do some blocking."
The Bills see him as a hand on the ground tight end and believe he can help on all four special teams units.

I hope they know something we don't know about trading for a TE or somebody that is going to be released after 6/1 cuts because we are worse now than last year. It would be nice to try and help Edwards instead of just helping him fail.

If Detroit passes on him, and the Bills pass again, I think it's safe to say the Bills just weren't interested in Davis. That would be 3 passes on him.

NFL Network talking about Bowen now...
Mayock says he needs more discipline, but can see him being a starter in a few years. More a depth, Special Teams guy for now.
Now their talking about Bills draft...they are saying Reggie Corner was a good value pick and Mayock finished by saying the Bills have had a "solid draft so far."
Good stuff to hear.

NFLN says Bowen is a "Core ST Player, with teh ability to be a starter in 2-3 years." Needs discipline. Bowen led the nation in tackles his Junior season.
Overall, they were pretty impressed with the Bills' Draft so far, said Reggie Corner fared very well vs Ohio State when they played.

for what it's worth the guys on the NFL network like the Bills draft so far...they think the Bills needed to go defense heavy to fill some holes and they like what they've done so far. They are really happy with the Corner pick and believe he'll be a solid player.

Again, let's have some faith in the actual people whose job it is to evaluate talent. The Bills have made some good decisions in recent drafts and just b/c they take a name that's lower than another on some site/magazine/Mel Kiper list doesn't mean they aren't good fits for this team.
It was nice hearing Mayock say nice things about our draft, as I respect his opinion as an analyst and know he actually knows something about these players.
Still, we never know until these players hit the field and actually play.

I've gotta say, NFLN has done the better job in their draft coverage. Not to mention, ESPN's Trey Wingo just called Alvin Bowen the "Offensive Lineman from Iowa State." The NFLN guys at least knew he was a LB. :)
