Thought I'd get one more in before the draft gets here..
With the 11th overall pick the Bills select...

1) Derrick Harvey, DE, Florida - I'm sticking with my guns on this one. I know defensive line is the one place we actually made some moves in FA but despite giving Kelsay and Schobel lucrative contracts, we were in the bottom in the league in sacks and had pretty much no QB pressure. Harvey comes in as a situational pass rusher right away and brings our D line up from average to one that can tangle with any O-Line in the league. The rest of the Defense gets better via the trickle down effect.

1a) James Hardy, WR, Indiana - Trade our 2nd round pick, one of our 4th round picks, and one of our 7th round picks to the Chargers for the 27th overall pick in the first round. The Chargers are a very solid team and have no draft picks in the 2, 3rd, or 4th rounds. They don't sorely need starters anywhere so I believe this makes them good trade partners.
Now on to the pick. It's not secret we need help at WR. Hardy is 6 foot 6 with speed to boot. The most productive WR in college of all the receivers in the draft, amassing 36 touchdowns at Indiana. The kid knows how to get in the end zone, something he could teach the rest of the offense. Gives Trent a big target opposite Lee and can make plays on his own. I wouldn't be disappointed if the Bills took him outright at 11, I like the kid that much.

3) Jermichael Finley, TE, Texas - A lot of people want Limas Sweed so I'll compromise with them and take a different player from the same school. A former basketball player, such as NFL greats Antonio Gates and Tony Gonzales, Finley has the speed to stretch the field and make plays that none of the TEs currently on the roster can do effectively. At 6-5 240 he has prototypical size, though he could gain some weight as his blocking needs work. Solid hands. Had statistically the best season for a freshman TE ever at Texas. Could be somewhat of a gamble, probably would have benefited from another year at the college level. Helps open up the offense even more and is yet another red zone threat for this young offense.

4) Tyvon Branch, CB, Connecticut - Would be the biggest corner on the team at 6 feet tall, 198 pounds. Very physical corner who would fit well in our system. Also played some safety at UConn so he is also versatile. Also has good speed. Strong in run support. Would be a nice fit and a good late pick up. Will give Ashton all the competition he can handle.

5) Jolonn Dunbar, LB, Boston College - This guy is just an absolute beast. Played RB in High School, still has some of that speed despite gaining all those pounds of muscle. Was on the watch list for the college award for best defensive player. Makes plays all over the field and is great at scoring off of turnovers. If I had to pick a sleeper in the draft it is this guy, he will be a great player at the NFL level in my opinion. Just a tackling machine. Also, he is from Syracuse, so hometown fave.
6) Jehuu Caulcrick, RB/FB, - On the basis he is willing to play FB, this would be a good pick up. I'm assuming Hillis and Schmitt will be gone by this point. Split time with Ringer at MSU but was a very effective runner when he was in. At 6-0, 250 is a load and a half, no fat on this kid. Very powerful, will help blow open holes for Marshawn and can run the ball himself. Is a gamble because he was not a FB in college but maybe he will be able to make the changes and make us look like geniuses. Also a local, from Clymer.
7a) Jack Ikegwuonu, CB, Wisconsin - Very, very talented player. Had a catastrophic knee injury and trouble with the law so there are a lot of red flags. If he can stay healthy and out of trouble could be the steal of the draft.
7b) Taj Smith, WR, Syracuse - I know we still need help at Center, but I don't think anyone we get here will be of much consequence. Taj has NFL level talent but is inconsistent. Can replace Sam Aiken as a gunner on special teams. Adds some depth at WR.
Well there she is. What do you guys think?
