We play NE twice a year and they are an offensive powerhouse with the best QB in the league.
We play the Jets twice a year and they could very well end up with the best RB in the league, namely, McFadden.
We play the Dolphins twice a year and they just signed an all world left offensive tackle.
We need as many great defensive linemen as we can get our hands on plus some talented pass rushing LB's.

If Ellis/Dorsey/Harvey are there then yes I'll be OK with going defense in the first, and possibly if Keith Rivers is there. Other than that I don't want a defensive player. WR is too big a need, who cares if we can slow down other teams if we can't score a touchdown ourselves?

The best defense is a good offense. Are defnese is already pretty good and it will be even better if the offense can move the ball and score points.

The Jets signed an all-world LT and Schobel got 3 sacks on him.
I have a feeling Harvey will be gone. Our best bet for defensive help will probably be CB or later rounds.

Yea, even though are defense ranked in the bottom of the league, I dont think they were that bad. Yes, we gave up a lot of yards, but then we were usually able to keep the opponent out of the endzone for most of the game. The offense was just not able to score at all and then eventually the other team would get in the end zone. Even if we improve the Defense, we wont win any more games than last year if we cant score.

Other then the Dallas Game our Defense lacks Creating Turn Overs which can make an okay defense a good one.
Also they have a problem getting off the field on 3rd down i think Stroud will help fix that and a healthy Poz / Ko.

Still, even if we get more turnovers, the offense won't do anything with it.
And as far as the second thing you pointed out, we are getting back a lot of starters that were gone by week 3 of last year plus the addition of Stroud. The middle of our D just got a lot stronger with Poz/Stroud/Williams/McCargo in the middle than last year when it was Digi/Tripplet/Williams/McCargo. John McCargo really started to play well at the end of last year, dont forget he is a first round pick, he may prove to be worth it.
Anyway, it's a moot point if we can't score any frickin points. Like I said, there are a few defensive players I wouldn't mind in the first. But if we do take them we have no option but to go WR with our next choice. I'd like to see us trade back up into the late first/early second to grab Hardy/Sweed if we go D first. Maybe our second round pick and one of our fourths.

I wasnt debating anything really just pointing out our Defenses weaknesses from last year.
I think we should go Offense Round 1 and 3 and 4 its obvious we need another play making WR or 2.

if ellis or gholston are somehow available yes, other wise no. our offense needs help. hardy and bennett are help and bring imposing size in the red zone.
