Batista and Michaels...

Man what had the potential to be a very emotional feud and storyline turned out to be a very awkward situation last night on Raw with Jericho's highlight reel.

Shawn made very passionate arguments with Jericho egging him on then backing off and Big Dave came across like a dumb idiot and clearly signaled a heel turn with Jericho egging him on then backing off.

If Dave had better mic skills, they could have built this one up right and split fans right down the middle and ride that for a couple ppv's or something but it will be an opportunity lost. Now Dave snapped and most fans should feel bad for Shawn Michaels who as he said was only doing his job as a competitor in beating Ric Flair and totally reasoned way too much with Dave (and the fans) on the mic...not leaving him with much else to say than to bully and threaten Michaels and clearly paint Shawn as a sympathetic character and not an ego maniac.

It will be interesting to figure out what Dave "already has done" to Shawn Michaels...

I caught that too and am wondering the same thing.

I think the story line can be ok, but they went about it completely wrong. having Batista this PO'd about something that Ric isn't mad about and in fact asked for is just dumb IMO. The story line would have been better off with Batista being mad that Ric didn;t choose him to do the deed, or something along those lines.

Right on. That is EXACTLY how they should have played it out.

When Michaels said he was mad that Flair didn't pick him...

He might have a beef in the story line...Batista was raw talent in Evolution and was groomed by Flair and could have "passed the torch" but Big Dave poorly translated it on the mic with Michaels and totally looked like just an angry goon with no ability to reason or be reasoned with.

Turns out the WWE felt the same way, both Shawn and Dave mentioned that may be the real reason last night on Raw. I tell you what, as poorly as the Highlight Reel segment went, last nights Raw confrontation may have been the best one between any two wrestlers in a long time. I thought both guys played it out perfectly and were very believable. They may have gotten me to order the next PPV based on their spot last night alone.
