The thing is, they ARE capable.

If Sabres management does this right, keeps this team together for 3-4 more years, I can almost guarantee they make it to the cup finals during that time, maybe even more than once.

No, if that was what he was trying to say, he would say that. But what Buffm needs to realize is that he's accusative, hostile, and a serious Debbie Downer. He just cares way too much about what a certain few people on here think. It's not as if he's saying anything original, and he's not all the way wrong, but he's far from constructive in the way he comes across. It's the holier than thou attitude and immature vulgarity that rubs people the wrong way. Not necessarily the subject matter of his posts. There are posters on here that share his sentiments but they post them as mature adults and not like a child.

Just because you're a realist doesn't mean you have superior hockey knowledge or you're any better or worse of a fan. He just needs to jump off his high horse and I'd probably enjoy his posts, or at least enjoy debating them. But it's fairly obvious that's not what he's here to do. I've never seen him for once admit that he's wrong about anything and he can't stand that everyone on here doesn't agree with him, and for that I really don't appreciate him in the slightest. If you frequent sports message boards, you'll learn that not everyone thinks the way you do. If Buffm wants to take the route of alienating himself as a fan, that's fine, but he shouldn't be surprised when people have a bone to pick with him.

I've seen two separate threads in this forum suggesting that the Sabres should've tanked the last game to gain slots in the upcoming draft....I would've liked to see the screaming that went on in here had they done so. It's fine to question "where was this same team 10 days ago" but to suggest that they purposely lose a game is ridiculous.
