I was going through some baseball stuff and found a commerical for the Northwest Arkanasa Naturals, a Double A team of the Kansas City Royals. The Naturals were the Wichita Wranglers last year and are owned by Rich Baseball who owns the Bisons and Jamestown Jammers. Anyway they use the slogan "Every Game's an Event". Yeah it is kinda been used, as many of you probably remember in the late 80's and early 90's that was the Bisons slogan. But now the Bisons use "We Love This team". If the slogan is not bad enough they have a heart shaped baseball in the writing. I know the Bisons go for family friendly, but come on, "We Love This Team", that is going over the edge. And to top if off they have a really gay song about loving the team. It is time for the Bisons to reclaim "Every Game's an Event" and bring back the old song. They played the song at the 20 years of Dunn Tire Park celebration last year but nobody thought of keeping it around. Who are the Bisons paying to come up with these new slogans and songs? The Wiggles?
Okay, I am done with my early start of the season rant on the slogan.

they dont focus enough on the team and the players, the starting rotation of adam miller aaron laffey and jeremy sowers is nasttttyyyy, barfield is a solid 2b and ben francisco should be on the indians they could be looking at a great team with all of them on the squad.. they're already 2-0

M: In the minors, you can't really focus your advertising on the players because they're constantly on the move-either up to the majors or further down the minor league system. So you have to market the experience of the game more so than the players. That's the way it will always be in the minors, even at Triple A.

The Bisons still do use "We Love This Team". Yes, this is "The Year of the Fan" but "We Love This Team" is still used on the pocket schedules and I am guessing will still be on the right field wall.
The Bisons should use more on the players. Yeah it is hard to promote players because of the player movement. But they would promote all the players that have been here. Rochester promotes all the great players who have played there like Cal Ripken.
