The Buffalo Bandits acquired All-Star forward Mike Accursi from the Edmonton Rush in exchange for veteran forward Dan Teat, Buffalo's second round selection in the 2008 Entry Draft, and Buffalo's first round selection in the 2009 Entry Draft.

Accursi, who was acquired by the Rush in July from Rochester in exchange for a first round selection in the 2009 Entry Draft, has scored 11 goals in nine games this season. The 11-year veteran previously played five seasons for Buffalo and three seasons for Rochester. The 33-year-old right-hander has scored 264 in 144 career games.

Teat, a 12-year veteran forward, has played the last four seasons in Buffalo. The 36-year-old right-hander has scored 250 goals in 161 career games.

Same here.

And,for whatever reason, this doesn't surprise me in the slightest.

Teater-at least this season-didn't seem to have all the gears running. I'm not going to speculate as to why.

But it'll be good to have 'Curse back in the orange and black...and I guess MacRazor can bring his Accursi jersey out of mothballs,too...;)

I love the deal. Teat has been nothing but a dissapointment since he came here, he always starts slow, and this year, has been a joke. He can't catch anything, and is horrible at passing and finishing. It took him forever to get his first goal of the season, like 3 or 4 games or something?

He needed a change of scenery. Bringing back Accursi is great, he has basically the same amount of points in 3 less games than Teat, plus he clicks with JT big time.

No I'm pumped for next Saturday, that is a huge game.

I think Mike may just be the missing link this team has been looking for. Sure, he can score a bunch, which will always be a good thing, but if you look at the intangibles he brings with him ... heart, leadership both on and off the floor, work ethic ... it may just be what the Bandits need to put them over the top.

Mike always gives 110% when he's on the floor, there will be no playing down to the level of the opponent for him. Only time will tell, I guess.

I like the move because age looks like it has really caught up to Teat. He just don't seem the player he was when he first got here, and really not the player that he was before he got here. And look how much Rochester misses Accursi since dealing him in the offseason.

This is a great pickup, Accursi always did a great job running the second line.

I cant beleive i didn't post that b4 Shotgun...oh well.

OK, i'm ecstatic that Curses is back where he shoulda been his whole career. He's a total gamer and very well could be the piece we needed. Teater had to go sadly, he sucked a lot out of the team with the bad season he was having. Mike should change that simply because he doesn't have bad games...period. If he cant score he'll do all the other things that not too many folks notice, a true team leader that is absolutely relentless. We saw how he torched us for 7 goals 2 seasons ago? Wait'll the game in Rochester! It sure woulda been nice to have had him last week tho, it might not have been such a clunker of a game.

And yes Carl, the jersey is coming off the hangar for the game on the 5th!
