At number 11 I think we can all agree that there is no clear cut franchise W/R in this draft.IMO with the number 11 pick we should take the best player available on our board at one of the following positions.DE,DB,DT,or I would include TE or center but I dont believe there to be any that arent a reach at #11.We could take Deric Harvey or L.Jackson.I also believe that its possible that a stud like Gholston or Ellis will slide this far.If not we take the tallest most physical Db at 11.In the second round we pick the best available WR Sweed,Kelly because of his knee injurys, or even Manningham, one of these or another good reciever will be there in the second. In the third we take Dustin Kellar TE or another WR. My point is overall WR at 11 is way to much of a strech take the best player at a need position and then stack the rest of the draft with prospects at WR and TE the more WR you draft the better odds you have of finding a diamond in the rough. What do you guys think?are there any other glaring needs to be addressed that could keep us from draft ing 2 WR or TE's in rounds 2-4?

Would I draft a WR at #11 this year? Probably not, but there is always the trade down strategy (my personal preference). I can't see waiting past the #41 pick to take a WR; the need is just too great and with them missing out at the position in FA and the clear need, they simply can't afford to wait very long in the draft to take one.

I agree with that but I think a 11 has more vallue than 2 trad down #3's.

I agree that there doesn't appear to be a good value WR for the 11th slot. Problem is, there probably isn't good value at DE and there definitely isn't at TE. That leaves the only "value" choice as CB.

I don't understand the love-in for DE Derrick Harvey. He is an OK DE prospect, but it seems several here think he is some dominant pass rusher that will immediately push Chris Kelsay to the bench forever. I don't see it. Harvey's career pass rushing stats aren't that much better than Kelsay produced in the completely run-first Big 12 AND Kelsay's combine scores were equivalent or better than Harvey's.

Harvey may become a pretty good pass-rushing DE in the NFL, but I can't see him being worthy of the 11th pick, either.

Say yes to the best TE or CB and get the best WR in the second.

I Agree Dust. I Wouldn't Be Opposed To Trading Back Up In The First To Grab Thomas Or Hardy

We dont have the ammunition for that, unless your ok with just 2 picks in the first 3 rds.
