Meh.

Hate the Kelly pick at 11.

I like Albert, but do we really need to upgrade over Butler so bad, that we do it in the 2nd round?

Kellen Davis in the 3rd isn't bad, I'm just worried about no CB help anywhere.

Despite the trade for Stroud, if we take a possession receiver with bad knees over Sedrick Ellis, I'll puke. I can't imagine both Cinci and NO passing on him anyways, so its probably moot.

I'd love Albert in the 2nd, I just don't think he'll be there.

I would take Harvey over Albert in the 2nd.

Alot is going to depend on how Kelly performs at his private workout in a few weeks. I think the injury concerns about him out there are a huge overreaction and I think he will be fine. I expect him to run in the 4.4-4.45 range which will put him back to the top reciever in this draft like he was before his no shows on the combine and pro day.

Another key factor which I mentioned in another thread is that many teams in the middle of this draft will be looking to add at reciever. By the time we come back around in the 2nd we may have missed out on the top flight reciever prospects. Thats why I think we still go reciever at 11 and will have our pick of any reciever. I still like Kelly over Sweed but that could change depending on how Kelly's workout goes.

With our moves in FA it seems to me that our biggest needs are at WR, TE, OG and OC. CB is still a concern, but with the signing of James and with what looks to be the Bills thought that he will be a key player in our backfield, him along with McGee, Greer and Youbouty the backfiled is starting to fill and I don't expect the Bills to look at CB's in this draft till the later rounds.

WR, TE, CB, C and perhaps DE are much bigger concerns than OG. Butler is young and inproved greatly as the year went on.

Speculation is increasing about Brandon Albert's ability to play LT in the NFL. More and more he looks like a first round pick. I don't like the idea of taking Kelly at #11 either. Sorry.

I like the Albert pick, I agree with whoever said they don't think he will be there. Again, I am not that high on Kelly. I'd rather have Hardy. If the draft played out like this I would have a hard time passing on Ellis. If I did that, I would want to trade down enough to try and end up with Hardy, Harvey, and Albert or Bennett.

If Butler can move to center, (I don't know if he can), maybe not.

I was really surprised when Mayock did his review on Albert.

1. The guy can move to the outside. Not just hit a linebacker on the second level, but pull to the outside and seal off an LB. Due to the size of Olineman, not nearly as many can do that anymore.

2. The guy can just plain engulf people. They were showing plays where he was driving people back 15 yards. Sometimes more than one. It was really impressive.

3. I doubt he's going to get pushed around at the LOS.

I agree with WPOD, a lot of teams might look to him as a T instead of a G, but I'd bet he ends up as an all pro as an interior lineman.

I'd be hesitant to do it, and it would have to be in a trade down situation, but there is something to what Coastal talked about a few months ago....building to a strength.

You could turn a pretty good Oline into a dominating one.

Exactly.

Ellis in the 1st and Albert int he 2nd makes this draft a success no matter what you do after that.

Those are 2 starting linemen for the next 5-6 years.

No way Harvey slips into the second, let alone past the Bills in the second. Nice try, but I can't see the Bills passing on Sedrick Ellis, he would be the final piece on this D, he could fill that Warren Sapp role in the Bills D. But again I can't see him falling past 9 or 10, Malcolm Kelly has a temporary red flag until he runs, if the Bills go WR at 11, at this point I have to say its gonna be Sweed.
