If we trade down, don't we have to give up a pick or two? Or our you talking about trading a player for a pick? Just wondering!

Nice draft, it covers all of our obvious needs and adds depth to the lineup. You are at least being realsitic with the OL help (no center would be ready to replace Fowler this season) so picking up two late round guys who could be developed is a nice move. Rumour has it that we will be getting a 4th and a 7th as comp picks so that would allow us to add a LB to the mix. We need at least one more for depth and special teams.
I can hardly wait for draft day. Whatever happens it should be another good day for the Bills.
Hopefully we can trade down, but it may not be in the cards. If we are stuck at 11, who do you want the Bills to take? I think we may be forced to take the receiver we want at #11 (Sweed?)

I started writing up a mock yesterday afternoon when I got tired of dealing with bankruptcies all day.

That's really very close to what I came up with. Some of the guys in mine are different, but those listed in yours were usually a 2nd or 3rd choice at that round or position.

The trading down might not be a good idea if you want Harvey. I doubt he makes it below the Panthers, and they're 2 spots below us. There would be a good chance Denver could take him too.

The Dustin Keller pick...here's what I don't quite understand about the guy. OK, he's nearly TE size and athletic, for a 240 lb. guy. Most consider his blocking to be horrible.

If we're looking for an athletic pass catcher without blocking skills, wouldn't it be easier to just get another WR and run a 3 wide set?

Or do you think he'll be a better pass catcher because he's 242? If that's the case, then I understand.

I like Kellers skills as a pass catcher...

we have Royal to run block...

Antonio Gates isnt asked to run block.

DK seems like a potent weapon...

I like having weapons in my aresenal...

I would like to see Harvey or whomever the best DL is on the board when we pick at 11...

he puts pressure on the QB...

I like that...

plus i think Ive provided a template for how to get two good WRs AND someone like DH at the 11 spot...

Well if we don't/can't trade down, you can make an argument we could get that extra third in a Losman deal.

it was a tossup between CG, the kid from USC and Branch...

I liked Branch's speed...

and figured he'd be available over those other two.

A lot of your picks are unreasonable. Like those players will not be available when you want to take them.
I think that there is a 5% chance Hardy is there is the second round when we pick. There is a 3% chance Keller is available in the third at any point and a 15% chance that Schmidtt is available in the fifth. Also, I would never pick Dixon in the 7th when you can just pick him off the FA wire.

I love the draft but we'll have to take Harvey at 11. There will be no extra 3rd.

I'm getting more impressed with Harvey each day. He likes to rush off the left side so he could start as a situational 3rd down blitzer.
He would be a great pick.

give me t thomas from usc, played in a similar defense to us at usc, and i always like usc athletes with his size speed and physicality...they play against more pro style offenses...but wouldnt complain about any of the 3

I would love for Hardy to fall to us in the 2nd, and while alot of mocks have him slipping that far, I just don't see it happening. He's had visits with the Jets, Ravens, Rams and a few other teams. If he doesn't get scooped in the late first, I can't see him getting by those 3 teams in the 2nd.

I wish. But I doubt it.

I really hope Hardy checked out with OBD when they met in terms of off the field issues. At 6'6" and with his skill set, the guy would be an absolute dream opposite Evans.

Love the Harvey pick (i hope we take him). That draft would be very nice.

two weeks ago, it was far more likely...

every day that passes the odds get smaller and smaller as these players stock rises...

and schmitt should be around in the fifth...

the highest drafted FB in the past decade was drafted in the fourth...

there are quality FBs... if he isnt there, Hillis will be...

I look forward to seeing your mock in the future if you dont already have one up...

with the addition of the two compesatory picks, the odds of us trading down for more picks just got weaker...

odds would seem far more likely that we now trade up...
