But then there's no way we sign him to another contract.

...It is...our way...

The same way we followed with the most important person to our team, Jochen Hecht?

For the rest of this season at the very least.

Pominville carries a quiet confidence about him. He has been playing on another level since he became captain, you cannot doubt that. He is playing better then any other Sabre that has been slapped with the C this season, thus far atleast.

Earning every bit of that 16 year old attitude.

The Buffalo Sabres have a long and storied history of not signing or trading away their captains.

Briere and Drury are just the most recent examples of a history that include Mike Peca, Stu Barnes, Pat Lafontaine, Mike Ramsey, Lindy Ruff...

The joke is that the quickest way out of Buffalo is getting the C on your sweater.

Sorry you didn't get it. Thanks for the mature response.

At very least the Sabres need to sign him to a large, longterm deal after the season and hope he does not get an insane offer.

Pominville is getting signed to a Roy-like contract...its in the cards.

We let Drury and Briere walk, and we traded Campbell.

What did we get?

Roy locked up to reasonable money, a good, young prospect who won't be a UFA for like 6 years, and THE ABILITY TO SIGN POMINVILLE TO ROY-ESQUE MONEY.

Pominville, Roy or hecht can be a captain imo.

Wanna know what's funnier than the generic age card? The fact that I'm smarter than you in all facets of life, including but not limited to hockey, football, basketball, and very possibly calculus.

Basically, I'm awesome, you're not, and continue to turtle, because there's no way you reply.

Pomminville hasn't just started to play top notch he has been at the top of this organizations performance charts all season,he has been responsible and consistent. He has played so well and performed so steady it will be hard to deny him the clubs MVP award, scratch that not hard but impossible.Pommer has earned it and giving him the "C" only assured he would finish the season strong. He accepted responsibility and ran with it!!!
