Dear Lindy Ruff,

I propose a dual-captain system in which the Buffalo Sabres alternate the 'C' betwixt misters Pominville and Hecht, both of whom picked this team up in its greatest hour of need and said "We're not losing." They've been leading by example all year; it's time to reward these gentlemen with the same honors bestowed on those before them, namely Christopher and Daniel, for both the remainder of this season and the future.

Hugs and kisses.

Your dearest friend,

Carl J. Ironsides

I'm thanking you more for the courage to sign a formal letter "hugs and kisses" than anything else.

JFK would be proud.

Tri-Captains? Roy deserves consideration.

A little-known fact is that JFK learned all he knows from the lesser heralded CJI.

I agree with poke...Roy should definitely have an 'A' next season...and Poms should have a C/A

Just give it to Poms. I love Hecht, but still, no Euro captain has ever won the cup. Im superstitious.

Ahhhh, I definitely don't consider a German under the same disdain I have for most other Euros

True, Germans have a history of being good leaders.

lol, I wont go there.

Hecht might be the better choice, at least until Darcy gives Poms a long-term deal.

Disagree...Give it to Pominville outright. Hecht and Roy get the A's.

What is this, the Sopranos, where every guy is a captain?
Cant disagree more. The C on the sweater signifies the teams leader, and Pommer right now is doing a fine job. You start splitting or alternating, and confusion sets in. I say give it to Pommers the rest of the season.

Confusion set in when Briere and Drury alternated? Interesting take, old sport.

This team doesnt have the same maturity level we did last year mate. Look at all the young guns playin right now. I dont see any reason to give out a second C, doesnt make sense right now ol' chum.

Pip pip. I do say it'd have to be a bitter cold day in Glasgow for me not to call either of these fine blue-and-gold clad chaps phenomenal leaders!

Raise a pint to Hechtinville, all!

I feel like I just stepped into an English pub...too many Labbatt's I guess...

Anyway, I agree with co-captains Pommer/Hecht to once-and-for-all erase the scent of Drury/Briere.

Best face-off man on the team, most prolific hitter on the team (179), sound defensive forward and penalty killer.

Terrible player.

not best hitter, good fellow. Most prolific hitter. The best hitter on the Sabres is the (very tastefully named, I might add) honorable Sir Patrick of Angola.

Listen I love Poms but the captaincy isn’t about what you can do inspired for a month. (yeh I know, except the Sabres) The captaincy in hockey is about consistency.
Once again I love what Pomer is turning into but Hecht has consistently played two way hockey for us. He doesn’t take nights off and leads by example. The captaincy isn’t just about points. Although Hecht does have a career 20 right now. I think at the very lest they should be alternating captians

GOD RUFF!! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME!!!!! I hate the alternating captaincy! But it just.. Kinda makes sense on this team..
