Paul Hamilton reported on WGR that he was at an interview session in which Lindy was almost positive that Mike Smith WOULD NOT be starting in goal for Tampa Bay.

For those of you that don't know the details of the Tampa/Dallas trade, Mike Smith was the top goalie prospect in Dallas before being traded, in part, for Brad Richards.

This kid is good, and will likely help to revitalize the Lightning, who have sucked since getting rid of Khabibulin.

Anyway, this helps our chances, since they'll likely start Kari Romo.

Huge. Smith is a legit goalie. I'm not going to jinx anything by downgrading Rammo, but great news.
